Staying home is not a disaster!

It's strange. Yesterday we lived a normal life and today the whole world is upside down. And what will the world be like tomorrow? There is a whole new kind of fear in our lives. It is not only about us as individuals but about the whole society. Strict rules restricting our freedom to create confusion in us. So we found ourselves in a whole new dimension of life - uncertainty. In a cube we can't get out of ...
We regularly observe the huge flow of information, and despite the constant and responsible study of the situation, we are not sufficiently informed ... Our weekdays have changed fundamentally. No shopping, coffee, meeting friends, events ... The days that were packed with a lot of activities, however, are suddenly long. Looking for ways to patch all those holes left in the good old days, we are turning into a new kind of man - "homo sapiens noncontactus". What consequences will the current presence have on us?
__________
There was once a woman. Like other people during the COVID-19 pandemic, her life turned to the reverse. This woman was an absolute extrovert, and suddenly the circumstances forced her to stay at home. She had never spent so much time at home before. Her usual day usually began in the early morning and ended late in the evening. After work, she used to always circulate her friends or going for coffee with herself. Free movement was what kept her alive, giving her energy and fulfilling her. And suddenly the good times were over and she found herself locked up between the walls of her house in the countryside, where the tendon went to hit her. The first days of home quarantine took the situation as something that would end soon and she would be able to return to the old track. She read many books, sewed a few cloths, cooked, cleaned, and lived days that were too monotonous for her tastes ... Every day she followed the news closely and studied various information about the current situation. The situation has developed so unfavorably that it began to realize one horrible fact: the good old days are not going to return soon. The thought of long days spent at home destroyed her. Although she had a home office and was doing a lot of activities for days, she was still missing something. The lack of personal contact made it a kind of ground of nervousness beneath the surface where stress and negative thoughts gathered. It was just a bit before the explosion ... One evening she decided to make a typical Friday evening adapted to the current situation. She dressed like a party, painted, paid for a good techno online ticket, turned off the lights, lit scented candles of different colors, and turned on skype. In addition to video calls, she danced and sipped from Prosecco, which she opened without a wine opener and cut her entire hand. In the beginning, she had fun. When it occurred Prosecco pulled another wine from the cupboard. Suddenly, the pressure of music and wine came to her. She imagined that life could go on like this ... At home. Without personal contact ... No hugs from friends, no kisses from a loved one, no shoes, and handbag, no sweet smell of sweaty bodies, no winter on the way home. She started to cry. So hysterically and insanely as if she urgently needed a jacket. After a few phone calls, she calmed down a bit. She probably needed to get all the fear out of her. Not only was she afraid of some kind of virus she had read a lot about, she knew little to satisfy her needs, but she was naturally afraid of everything she loved — which at that moment had turned into a complete paranoia. Backed by good words from good people, she went to bed. It was the first time in her life that she hadn't made her way home ... She just lay down in bed processing all those strange feelings ... She realized that her world had changed in many circumstances, but the people in her world remained as they were. They may still find support and love in them, even though they will show it to her in a different way in the next period than through personal contact. And when it comes to replacing her exuberant social life, has she decided to be more active and devote herself to her personal development - when is there a better opportunity than now? And so he lives in his cube. He calls with his loved ones every day, reads a lot, learns to sew, exercises here and there, and deals with all the things she has been putting away for many years. At the same time, he firmly believes that all the social energy that is currently being gathered in it will be able to be released out when the time comes. And it will be a brutality!
__________
The world has changed completely in a moment - but that is why it is essential to look for solutions that will follow as closely as possible all of our everyday necessities of life. Social networks and phones have become the only way to show closeness and affection. They became a substitute for embraces and kisses and many other things without which we could not imagine life. We took many of these things for granted, and suddenly they are barely available goods. The only way out is to look for an alternative that will allow us to live a full and beautiful life despite the current situation.
__________
Everyone carries his cross today ... We carry our fears on our shoulders and we crawl cumbersome up high to Mount Sinai so that we can see the optimistic prospects of our future in the long term. But to be able to bear this cross, we must become Gnostics. We have to look real and rational about the current situation, because otherwise we will never reach the top and, worse still, we will remain in the shadow of a huge hoard of fear and depression.
__________
Finally, it is necessary to evaluate the fact that what is happening around us affects everyone, regardless of age, race, employment, etc. It is a society-wide problem that we can eliminate at the moment only by strict adherence to all measures taken. The time has come to think a little less of the pleasure we experience when we meet the loved ones and "sacrifice ourselves" for the good of the nation.
Therefore, unless you urgently need to shop, do not shop. If you can work from home, have a home office. If you came from the epicenter of infection, keep the quarantine. If you go out, nose a mask. After all, we are precisely these measures for those who can pay for our irresponsibility with life. We do this for our grandparents, for parents, but also for friends with poor immunity or associated diseases and, last but not least, for ourselves ...
We can do it together!
__________
P.S: Dedicated to everyone who is experiencing a difficult time because of a reduction in social life (I know how you feel). I firmly believe that when the necessary time has passed for us to at least somehow return to normal, we will make up for it all! In the sense of the slogan that what doesn't kill you, it will strengthen you, I send a big greeting from my home cube! :)
